By 8:00 p.m. PDT tonight weakening frontal system located on a
line north-south over Cape Flattery.
At 4:00 p.m. PDT today building ridge located over Pacific Ocean.
By 5:30 p.m. PDT Tuesday ridge located over Langara.
At 11:00 p.m. PDT tonight high 1031 mb located over Pacific Ocean.
By 11:30 p.m. PDT Tuesday approaching high 1034 mb located off
Explorer.
Marine Weather Statement
Issued3:46 AM PDT 26 August 2024 A frontal system over southern portion of the North Coast willcontinue southward and slowly weaken throughout the day.
Strong to gale force southerlies over along the Central Coast and the
headlands of Vancouver Island will diminish later this morning.
A ridge of high pressure is building over the Pacific Ocean and
slowly making its way toward the BC waters. It will enter the
offshore waters on Tuesday afternoon.
