Emergency Notifications

Saint Paul Public Schools uses Blackboard Connect to communicate with families during emergency situations, including severe weather, that may affect the school day. Contact information for Blackboard Connect is synced with the district's student information system, Infinite Campus.

SPPS uses a variety of methods to inform families, staff and the community about school closures and cancellations including spps.org, local media, social media, and direct communication through email, text messages and phone calls.

How SPPS Uses Your Contact Information

In addition to being notified of emergencies, you will receive information from the district, your school and your student's teachers via email, robocall and/or text message. Additionally, SPPS works with various service providers who will send you information directly via email. These providers include Peachjar, Schoology, Securly Home, Seesaw and Xello.

Early Childhood Screening

Early Childhood Screening (ECS) is a program that helps you see how your child is developing before they enter Kindergarten. ECS isFREEto all children ages 3, 4, and 5-year olds and is required by Minnesota law for all children before entering Kindergarten.

SPPS Health and Wellness provides health services to students to enhance educational achievement by removing health-related barriers to learning to the best of our ability. We do that by:

Humboldt Women’s Group Teaches Community, Life Skills

A group of Humboldt High School students attend a weekly Women’s Club with social worker Katie Vaudreuil and various members of the community. The Women’s Club has been in existence for more than 10 years. In addition to service projects, the group also hosts regular career presentations from female professionals throughout the community.
