1. Keep Out Door

This Keep Out door is a great way to use up all that extra card board you probably have laying around your house. Here are the materials you’ll need:

You’ll also need:Command Strips | Fake Cobwebs | Foam Gravestones or other Halloween decor

Simply cut out some cardboard planks (using the measuring tape to measure your door width), and using a sharpie, draw some wood gain onto the cardboard plank. The rest is easy– using some command strips, stick the cardboard planks onto your door, then wrap some caution tape and fake cobwebs around to your liking. Fake gravestones and warning signs are a fun way to make your message even clearer (and creepier!)

2. Witch Crash Door

Here’s the details for the witch crash door…

You’ll also need:Wreath Hanger | Floral Wire | Foam Core| Command Strips

First take your wash basket and start layering in the black mesh inside and out of the basket, using floral wire to secure throughout the basket. If you still need to fill out the basket a bit more, use some extra fabric to fill in the inside of the basket.

We attached the witch legs with some hot glue and floral wire, adding more fabric around the legs to fill out the skirt.

Next, you’ll wantto cut a piece of foam core roughly the size of the wash basket. Glue your witch shirt basket onto the foam core, securing with some floral wire if needed. Cut a small slit at the top of the foam core so you can slip your wreath hanger into the slit to hang onto your door.

For the crash part, you’ll only need some black poster board and spare foam core pieces. If your door is a different color than your door, you want to paint it the same color so it looks seamless.

3. Frankenstein Door

Here’s how to turn your own door into Mr. Frankenstein.

You’ll also need:Command Strips

This guy is so simple— Start with some giant googly eyes and Command strip them to your door. Out of felt, cut Frankenstein’s hair, screws for either side of his face, mouth and scar, and also attach them to the door with Command strips. To make sure the screws are a bit more sturdy, back the felt with some foam core.

4. Silly Monster Door

You know you want to make this fun little guy, let’s get started…

You’ll also need:Foam Core &Command Strips

For the monster’s eyes, cut the rims of the black and white plates off, then glue the black one onto the white plate. The more eyes, the sillier! For his horns, trace and cut them out of foam core, then use those foam core pieces to trace and cut your colorful poster board. Glue the poster board pieces onto your foam core horns, then Command strip them to the top of your door. You can use felt or constriction paper for the mouth and arms of the monster, so draw then cut those out and Command strip them to the door as well, and there you have your silly little monster door!

5. Creepy Crawly Door

Here’s the tutorial:

You’ll also need:Plastic Snakes | Black and Green Spray Paint

First you’ll want to spray paint your wreath. I stuck with a matte black spray paint so that the snakes popped when woven into the wreath. Next you’ll want to spray paint your snakes. A contrasting color works well and really pops against a dark color like black. When those are dry, start weaving them into the wreath, securing with floral wire as you go.

For the rest of the door, we used small pieces of Command strips to stick up the spiders.

6. Need a Hand Door

You’ll also need: White Spray Paint |E6000 Glue | Heavy-Duty Command Strips

Start with painting your wooden plaques black, and painting your mannequin hands white (with some killer black nail polish, of course). I also picked up a small hanging sign and painted that with some chalkboard paint to use it on the door later.

Once the plaques and hands are dry, use some E6000 heavy duty glue to attach the hands to the plaques, and let those dry overnight. Glue an apple onto a hand or two for some added interest. You’ll also want to use some heavy duty Command strips to hand the hands onto your door.

7. Warning Door

Get the details on this door here:

This is a great way to decorate your door without any fear of damaging it– just some plastic wrap and paint! Wrap your door completely, then use some red paint to write your warning, the creepier the better for this door. When the paint dries, wrap one more layer of plastic wrap over top to make sure nothing scratches off.

8. Bats + Pumpkin Topiaries

DIY Halloween Doors : Live! with Kelly + Ryan (18)

This one’s super easy, get the details here…

Materials: Bat Cutouts| Command Strips | Outdoor Urns | Heirloom Pumpkins

It’s as easy as cutting out bats of construction paper, or most craft stores have pre-cut bats to save you a step. Just stick a Command strip on the back, and fill your door with a bat colony! Heirloom pumpkins are easier to stack, and add some great color to your front porch. We’ve included a template for you too if you want to make the bats yourself!

9. Mummy Door

You might also need: Toilet Paper | Duct Tape (to secure in the back)

Similar to the Warning Door, this is another wrapped door. Using a couple rolls of toilet paper or white streamers, wrap your door, and leave a small opening towards the top of the door for the mummy’s eyes. Place some black poster board behind the opening, and use some white poster board to cut out two eyes. You can use clear scotch tape to secure some pieces in the front.

10. Harry Potter 9 3/4 Door

And the most popular door decor is from Hogwarts…

You’ll also need:Duct Tape

This might be the easiest door, but it’s also the crowd favorite. Who doesn’t love Harry Potter? Why notturn your entryway into Platform 9 3/4? Using some brick patterned bulletin board paper, wrap your door, lining up the bricks, securing with some duct tape in the back. You can find the 9 3/4 sign online, or we have a template for you here, simply print that out and tape it to the center of the door. Add some lanterns, and a broomstick, and you’re good to go!
