I don’t know about you, but there are a few things I think about when Halloween comes into my mind. I’ll happily and proudly say that candy is the first thing. Sugar and I have a great relationship and there’s a lot I’ll do for a Reese’s pumpkin.

But right after candy is not even costumes – it’s the Halloween crafts (including crafts for kids) and the painted pumpkins. Yep, it’s the decor! I absolutely love decorating for the holidays, and homemade Halloween decorations are my favorite.

There’s something that pleases me about Halloween decor . . . and doing it yourself. It can be really inexpensive if you: 1) buy things on sale from previous years and 2) dig for items around the house to use as surfaces or supplies.

You can typically make holiday decor for pretty cheap if you’re willing to get creative.

The dollar store and Goodwill are also great places to find unique surfaces and supplies. I’ve seen people turned used baby doll heads into unique mummy wall art. Think outside the box, and you’ll have the most awesome Halloween decor ever!
